I.M.A DIVISIONS

The International Martial Arts Academies is comprised of Five Divisions representing the martial arts:-

Chinese Martial Arts

Western/Freestyle Martial Arts

Other Asian Martial Arts

           KOREAN MARTIAL ARTS

 

The korean martial arts have developed over 1000 years, although many people only know of Taekwondo, there are many other arts such as Hapkido, Tang Soo Do, Kuk Sool Won, Hwarang-Do etc....

           JAPANESE MARTIAL ARTS

Japanese martial arts have developed over 100 years from Okinawa to mainland Japan, with many styles of Karate, Judo, Ju Jitsu, Aikido, Kempo Karate and Kempo Ju Jitsu etc...

           CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS

 

The Chinese martial arts have been around the longest and have much influence on many martial arts systems of Korea and China.  Popular styles are Wu Shu, Wing chun, Choy Li fut, and there are many variety of chinese styles...

           WESTERN/FREESTYLE MARTIAL ARTS

 

This Division has a wide variety of martial arts styles, styles that hybrid, founded by western martial artists.

The I.M.A has many Masters who have founded styles with a different approach to their teaching, you will find these under this division.
