Head of Disabilities for IMA Appointed
After several meetings between IMA World President and Vice Presidents, Master Colin Hull has been appointed to head the Department of the International Martial Arts Aacdemies (IMA) that will concentrate on helping martial artists with disabilities or learning difficulties and also help instructors to better understand their needs.
Master Colin is very experienced at working with people who need that extra help due to disaibilities and learning problems, and he will also be in contact with instructors to help them better understand how to teach and train special needs martial artists.
We all within the IMA believe that everyone should be able to train in the martial regardless of race, ethnicity, physical disabilities or learning disabilities. Master Colin has been busy writing up a handbook to assist instructors and we hope to organise seminars to bring instructors together to better understand with our teachings.
